Market Has Now Put in a 5% Correction: Will it be Enough? [View article]
I'm "thesullster" from Motley Fool CAPS and I say, it's not enough. The markets will take more beating between now and second half of the year. Oh, there'll be up days, but we're trending down on the whole.
AMD's Reality Check: Time To Tweak The Business Model [View article]
AMD is one company everyone thought wasn't going to stick around since the early 90s (when INTC was like the undeniable force, giant, etc.). Not only are they still around, today it has proven able to win battles by beating INTC at its own game.
Remains to be seen if AMD will win the war. If you look at business history, success is never a straight line. This serves as a wake up call to AMD leaders. I'm more than confident they'll come out of this problem alive.. and stronger than many today think possible.
Hardly wishful thinking. AMD can and will do something to get the ship fixed. History proves they know how to do this. So what if Ruiz tossed away the call script and wanted to be "different"? So what if that was a bad move? Or a really bad move? They don't sell his speeches. AMD sells chips that power computers and servers. They get better at that every time.
It is stock market pessimism that throws the most profitable pitches.

Analyst: XM Outperforming Sirius In Retail Sales [View article]
This is thesullster from Motley Fool CAPS, and I say it doesn't matter. It doesn't. Both Sirius and XM can co-exist. The market is being created and is big enough. Call it a hunch. Hah!
Good. No, great. Sell or short YHOO. Then maybe I'll get a great price to swing at. There's definitely significant yet-to-fully-tap value in both Flickr and del.icio.us. YHOO owns both..
Mattel: Compelling Products, Cash Flow, Valuation and Dividend [View article]
Sounds like performance-chasing to me. Personally, if I had a positive long-term outlook on the company, I'd buy on weakness but not when we're this close to holiday season and not when the stock's been up 20-plus percent.
