  • Bank Of America: You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet [View article]
BAC's book value is 13.48 which is good, better than all but Citi. But it still isn't the very low price is was in the past, according to Forbes 5/7/13.

I think this Market should have started a correction in late April. It's now late May when the correction actually should be well along until around the middle or third week in June. That is when the Strong, July rally starts. It last about 3 weeks and then it's usually over and I'm out again as the risk reward ratio for Aug and Sept is very bad indeed. If Oct. is acting very volatile with large Market swings in a Market that is over bought or long in the tooth, that is not very good at all. Caution should be applied to say the very least. I get out then, just like I did at the last Bear Market when Mark Haynes actually called it, in Early Oct! I still like BAC, but one can't fight/play the Market with Blinders on. Been there and done that and it ain't no fun! ~ IMHO

Yes, I agree BAC is a good long term hold. If there is any such thing, which we know one can count on one hand. lol My point is one can't just hold a stock and wish upon a star without taking the Market in perspective. The market trumps most all stocks. If not all to some degree. One has to take-in consideration of the Market swings if they are not of a very long term horizon like Buffett. Being disciplined is not easy when it comes to money for sure~! Staring at a Market correction with closed eyes and wishful thinking is a good way to lose 15% or more of ones portfolio. Could BAC be an exception? Yes, but one still has to be disciplined to do what the odds or history, tell him he needs to do. IMHO

The market is or should be set for a correction. It needs one desperately to finish out the year strong. Without it, you're looking at a very unhealthy, dangerous volatile situation, without any doubt! I see it testing 12 again at least. Remember, book is only 13 and change. Don't be fooled by all this, 'it's so cheap rhetoric'. It is what it is, without all the what ifs and shoulda's.

  • Considering Citigroup And Bank Of America As Investments [View article]
AIG is the kettle calling the Pot black. I have no respect for these people at all. They give crooks a bad name IMHO. BAC did the Federal Government and America a great FAVOR taking over Countrywide. If they had not, albeit carelessly, done it. The tax payers would have bore the whole cost of this mess. People tend to keep forgetting this small fact. It's like saying of your ex spouse, "I wish I had never met the woman." While forgetting what great kids you had together.

Many investors don't lack patience. They keep a loser forever. I know many people whom owned BAC when it was very high and, 'held on''. Losing pretty much everything. It's not as easy as one would think. Hindsight is 20/20.

  • Not So Fast With The Countrywide Settlement [View article]
They are still doing it, they bundle and sell the loans just as they did before the last major recession. The Govt has done nothing to stop it. If you pass someone for a loan, and then just resell it. You're not going to care if it was a good loan or not. Are You?

I wish the govt. would crack down on them all for false advertising!

I had a loan with one outfit. They sold it to Countywide. BAC took it over and later sold it off to someone else. Trying to follow the card/mortgage trick isn't easy. What gets me is they all say, "take out your loan with us, you will be glad you did, etc etc." Then, they all sell it within a few years.

  • Did Bank Of America Just Effectively Limit Its Countrywide Liabilities? [View article]
Anyone have a guess how many Plaintiff Trial Lawyers have invaded this web site posing as someone else.

Next time BAC goes to arbitration they should hire an ambulance to speed up and down the road in all directions. All the Plaintiff Lawyers will run after it and the case will be summarily dismissed.

  • Bank Of America: Buy The Dip Now, It Will Not Last [View article]
"The summer swoon spin-doctors are hard at work". I don't quite get that one. The May Jun sell off always appears. July is an up month, dead in the middle of the summer. As for some of you guys buying BAC now with May coming, why not wait. The stock market is going down account May is approaching. Staying in now is like standing in the train track with a train coming and saying, "I think it will stop, it should stop, but I don't care. I ain't moving account if it don't stop it should have." Sale now and buy back more later with the same amount of money and you will have more shares. It does, Matter! By the way, recent history shows it may start moving up again the first week of June. Not the latter part of June like most stocks.

As for BAC not being a good investment for the rest of the year as posted by someone above. If the market has a strong May- June sell off. Then it would be a good buy more than likely the rest of the year. Right now no one knows for sure what is going on except the market has irrational exuberance.

Interesting info: An article recently in Market Watch, stated that Financial Stocks do not meet the 'Sell n May and stay out for 6 months theory'. They do well during the 6 months interval. I just checked it out. It's true. BUT, it did not hold for the May to mid Jun period. I know of nothing that holds up under that period. But I was surprised to learn the sector does well during the Aug to Oct period. I was very surprised indeed! This is good news for buy and hold, except for the May to June or until mid June period. IMHO

Some of you guys are sure optimistic about the future share price. But I don't see you adding the market valuation as to good or bad into the equation. You seem to imply if a Bear market hits BAC will just sail along above the abyss. I don't get it myself. But I guess if it works for Warren Buffett? lol
