  • Why the New York Times Won't Cease Printing [View article]
The New York Daily News, The new York Post and the few other assorted daily papers have been on their "Death Bed' many times by the media and so called media experts. The New York Times will out live you, me and the experts who are now predicting it's demise. Time will tell, no pun intended!!

  • Newspaper Death Spiral Continues - Ads Down 18% Y/Y [View article]
For a company like The New York Times, the drop in the stock price just doesn't make sense to me. My reason being that the company is not just the single newspaper. They have holdings in TV stations, high profile magazines and other media outlets that have not seen their advertising revenues drop at these alarming rates. Just my 2 cents..

  • Could Google Buy The New York Times? [View article]
When Arthur Sulzburger Sr. handed the reigns to Jr., that was the start of the down fall. He brought in all of his college buddies who thought they could take the wheel of a great American icon. The rest is history, now the family is too proud to realize they need outside help and need it fast. I own over 5000 shares of stock. The dividends are still being paid, but I will be averaging out on my brokers advice as are many of my friends who retired with stock holdings in their 401K's also.. Bye bye Sultz Jr., will you go down with the ship? I doubt it, I think you'll be the first on the life boat before the women and children!!!
