I have been investing for many years and had lots of fun with it during the dot com days. While I came out ahead after the bubble burst, it taught me to refocus on quality companies that will be around for the long haul. I don't mind investing in the boring slow growth companies provided they pay dividends and have a solid market share and vision. I look for opportunities where a stock or sector has been beat down and use that as a buying opportunity. Common sense, understanding fundamentals, and following my entry & exit plan are part of every stock transaction I make. In addition to investing in the larger, well known, and safer stocks, I have been having a good ride in the pot stocks. The potential is immense and there is money to be made. I look forward to cashing it in and follow a number of these stocks to achieve that goal.
