Lower Earnings Expected at Canadian Banks

I bet these Canadian banks envy the situation in the U.S: here banks are announcing substantial profits because of accounting gimmicks even though they actually have losses. So if a U.S. bank only had a 20% decline in actual profits that U.S. bank would undoubtedly be able to announce a massive profit increase over a year ago--due to these same accounting gimmicks.
