  • Why Is Sirius XM Radio Stock Going Down? [View article]
    Hey Vicar--

Don't be a dick and beat people when they're way down. You are unbelievably messed up.

  • What to Expect in Tuesday's Sirius XM Radio Conference [View article]
At this point I've decided that I don't care if the stock goes below $1. Maybe I'll buy a few more shares at point, but I've realized that I have to hold this stock for at least 1-2 more years.

Until the three 2009 debt scenario's are behind us, and the company officially becomes cashflow positive (including capital exp.), this stock is going to be all over the chart. But after all of this, the upside is huge.

I have total faith with Mel's hands on the wheel.

    I agree cos100.

Mel's MO is "under promise and over deliver" in every aspect--revenue, debt, promotions, etc.--of the company. I thought the classic line from the conference was, "We could put Satellite Radio in a toaster too, but we're not doing anything unless it's cash flow positive for the company." Or something like that.

This company will absolutely take off under Mel's leadership. The only painful part is waiting a year or two for this company to realize all its potential.

  • Sirius XM's CEO to Address Merrill Lynch Media Conference [View article]
Cos--Those companies are in the South Bay because the land was cheap there. The minds (I didn't say lifestyles) who started those companies came from progressive places like San Francisco. Trust me, I work as a consultant for every company you named above.

By the way, I usually appreciate your insight on Sirius, it was just your (and killerkaul) cuts on SF that pissed me off.

    Cos 1000 and KillerKaul--
    Couple things:
    1. Learn to spell and use punctuation properly. Your message is unclear when you replace "where" with "were" and end a question with a period. You can learn about those things in a good university like Harvard or UCSF.
    2. You wouldn't have companies like Apple or Sirius if you didn't have cities like San Francisco and New York. Innovation comes from people living in progressive places, so don't be a hypocrite by slamming cities that you rely on.
    3. Palin and the rest of the right-wing republicans are trying to ramp up the culture wars, and you two are buying into it. I guess you both are proof on the effectiveness of advertising. The country is sick of being divided, so find another argument.
That's it....I'll now patiently wait for another one of your emotional and meaningless responses.

    Hey killerkaul-
The culture wars are over. Move on and find something positive to say.

I realize the locations are 300 miles apart, and I'm definitely not betting the farm on it, but the Apple event is called "Let's Rock."

I don't think the idea of announcing some kind of relationship is too far fetched.

I wonder if there's anything to the fact that Steve Jobs and Mel Karmazin are both speaking next Tuesday in California. Apple apparently has an exciting announcement to make.

Coordination by Sirius XM and Apple, or total coincidence? Any thoughts?

  • Sirius Retail Sales Questions Left Unanswered [View article]
Did you really expect a bunch of zit-faced 16-year-old employees of Best Buy, Radio Shack, and Circuit City to provide you the details of Sirius XM's retail marketing plan?

Mel and the other execs aren't still sitting around drinking martinis to celebrate their successful merger...we'll hear soon enough.

  • Why Did Adelstein Reverse His Position on the SIRI-XM Merger? [View article]
Last of my rants before I'm out of here. I'm not a consipiracy theorist, but I'm starting to become a conspiracy theorist. I wouldn't be surprised if these two analysts were working together on this. Positive comments one day to try to lift the stock, every one take your short position, negative comments the next day, every one take your profits.
I'd like to start throwing blows at this point!

  • Why Did Adelstein Reverse His Position on the SIRI-XM Merger? [View article]
Thanks for the uplifting story. I saw it yesterday and it certainly didn't uplift the stock price. The "street" didn't care about Cohen.

Mudslinger is right, positive comments have no impact, whereas negative comments devastate the stock price. Once again my assertion is:

There is no faith in these companies by anyone other than a bunch of small-time investors.

  • Why Did Adelstein Reverse His Position on the SIRI-XM Merger? [View article]
I couldn't care less about Adelstein, this stock is a disaster. Another downgrade today. Nobody thinks these are worth anything except for a bunch of small-time investors grasping at straw.
