we have had some form of failed state capitalism in russia, china and even india under mr. nehru. the present growth tales of india and china, russia, brazil etc was an effort to go away from this failed state capitalism. the communist manifesto the ownereship of the means of production by the prolatariet, which meant ownership by the state controlled by dictators either bad ones or benovalent ones. the feel for private ownership is deeply ingrained in humans, nay in animals even in the wild.

if one compares the consumption of the affluent few with the rest who constitute the worlds poor, and start analyzing the effect the world resources will be strained to if even a fraction of this less better half start consuming energy, minerals and food at even half rate of the affluent few i wonder if the world and its economy will be a sustainable at current rates of expansion.
the present crisis seems to a layman like me to be the greed of a few over the " i dont care/ dont know/ dont want to know" attitude of the majority of thw worlds population. the madoff and his families behavior taken together with those who invested their monies and trust in mr madoff should really reveal how greed has pushed the world economy, not just simple greed but an ugly devilish greed.

as a yahoo mail us from 1998 or so onwards i have appreciated the free email facility nd large storge available. though gmail/google started this trend oinglarge storage space yahoo caught up fast . microsoftook many years and many lost mails for me that i very rarely log on to msn mail. and that adds on to my owes of lost news bullein. yahoo merger with microsoft would have been a great loss to the millions of yahoo comunity if microsoft implemented similar policies in yahoo too. though am not an informed blogge like the above i agree with the views expressed i the article aboout the exodus in yahoo.
