Think Doug Kass, Melissa Lee and Cramer's daughter. That pretty much sums up the logic of WS and why Google (driverless car and $1,500 fashion accessory glasses), Amazon, insane p/e, losing money, are worth so much more than a company like Apple. FUS.

I think you forgot to mention that Samsungs CEO was found guilty of fraud. Been able to buy himself out of jail so far. Now that is a company worth investing in. Convicted felons and theives.

So Apple sends you special secret reports of what is in the development queue. Interesting. This is why I come to SA -- to get the inside, proprietary information about Apples non-new thing from people like you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

You are so right Listening to the almost rabid, excited comments from short sellers and Apple doomsdayers is interesting...and telling. Like 14 year olds on a first date who just got lucky. Most of these comments are not from investors...they are gamblers. The idea that success is the result of having a plan is absurd and laughable. We are in a casino controlled by Doug Kass and the media. Everything else is just plain, dumb luck get over yourselves boys

Did you say most of the articles on Apple are "bullish"? You can't be serious!

  • A Conservative Strategy And Investment Rationale For Apple Bulls [View article]
Traders, and some investors, seem like they are plagued with a severe case of ADHD. Warren Buffet was just on CNBC and asked about Apple and what's going on with it. He more or less said hat Apple should ignore the analysts and media and not run its business to jack up the stock price. He went on to say that Berkshire's stock price decreased by 50 percent five times. Think 4-5 years out, not short term, as the market does, according to Buffet. He said his advice to Apple would be to do a good job of managing the business and make great products. If they do that, the rest will take care of itself. Finally, some sanity on CNBC about Apple instead of this minute by minute analysis of the stock.

You forgot the part about Samsung's guilty of fraud chairman being taken away in an orange jump suit and handcuffs. As they like to say in the Android and Samdung world, "If you can't bet 'em, steal baby, Steal!"

Google is a fine company. But this stock is way out of its league at this price. It's time to get out or get killed. The MMs are coming.

Peter, I'm in total agreement with your comments on Cook and very disheartened by his lack of action, particularly on the PR front, as shareholders twist in the wind. What I do take exception with are the constant chipping and cheap shot Apple articles, like this one, that add nothing new or relevant to the discussion. How many times do we need to keep going over the same ground in these pieces? It now almost seems like "gloating" and agenda driven commentary rather than considered opinion, insight and analysis.

You guys just can't seem to resist piling on Apple. If its over for the company, which you seem to imply, why not just move on and let it die the slow and inevitable death you are so certain of. Apple is done, right? So do us all a favor and be done with it as well. Enough already.

  • More on Apple/Samsung: The $450M reduction relates to 14 largely antiquated Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S II. Judge Koh has ordered a retrial to set new damages, stating "the Court identified an impermissible legal theory on which the jury based its award." Patent lawyers are the one guaranteed winner here. The reduction follows a Jan. decision from Koh to reject treble damages on the original verdict, and a Dec. decision to deny injunctions on the 26 Samsung devices deemed guilty of infringement. The fact that the judge over ruled the jury and significantly reduced the judgement is troubling. What is the point of having a jury? I wasn't aware that could be done.

  • Though it pulled Prop. 2 after David Einhorn scored an injunction, Apple (AAPL -0.5%) is still committed to requiring shareholder approval for issuing preferred stock, the company states at its shareholder meeting. Also, CalPERS says it would have voted for Prop. 2 if it had the chance. A proposal granting shareholders an advisory vote on exec. compensation has been approved, while one requiring execs to keep 33% of their stock until retirement has been shot down. Doug Kass might be disappointed to learn no stock split has been announced (or perhaps not). (live blog[View news story]
Should Doug Kass be investigated for posting the stock split rumor that he obviously profited from?
