  • Sirius Call Options Volume Continues [View article]
It seems anyone can write here!
No wonder the economy is in such a mess with "analysts" like this.
You are supposed to be an analyst, so provide an analytical view.
Naturally if people are buying calls, they expect share price to increase. Or shorts are hedging. But what happened to the fundamentals of the company? Can the company be a take over target? Why? What has changed since the stock hit $0.04 or so? Has its future panorama changed so drastically to warrant a 12 fold increase? Yes, we all know time will tell and that's the difference between descriptive and analytical articles.
By providing decent analysis, may be next time I'll read your article instead of just moving on.
    Provide an opinion.

  • Barron's Calls a Bottom [View article]
This is all to do with confidence. Blame it on Bush, Obama, short sellers, banks, all of us for speculating on property... Yes, we are all to blame.
Stop looking at the past to predict the future. This event is in no way like any in the past, only may be the thirties as the cause of both was excessive leverage.
It is really absurd that these financial gurus constantly look at their past charts to predict the future. The basic investment warning is that past is no indicative of future, but yet we are bombarded with all this goobledegook (sorry if spelled incorrectly).

The blaming and all this cheap prediction does not reverse the course. What is needed is swift actions by the government in all areas to restore confidence. Getting people to work is by far the most important single factor to restore confidence.

Forget about banks being too big to fail nonsense and stop pouring money into these bottomless parasites. Let them fail. If there's money to be made in the areas they operate, surely their "vacuum" will be filled by current and new participants - after all did anyone compensate you for the money you lost on your stocks? Aren't all of us together much larger than anyone entity to fail?

Lack of confidence as measured by various indices indicates the market may very well turn lower and unless there is massive selling and huge exodus, the contrarians won't be coming on to take advantage.

  • Citigroup: The End Draws Near [View article]
Naked short selling is killing stock after stock.
Citi is not a great bank but it is not in such a horrible shape either, it is the most international of all banks in the world.
Unless this type of practice is banned for good, there is no telling where it would stop. The ordinary fold would read that Citi traded at near $3 and withdraw their money. We all know what would happen then.
I don't see Paulsen , let alone Cox doing anythuing though!

  • Paulson in a State of Panic [View article]
    Sorry, read the last paragraph:
Look at RBS shares' performance today after the market finally managed to understand that a potential (not a definitive one) dilution does not necessarily mean loss of equity value.

  • Paulson in a State of Panic [View article]
Why are the authorities being so secretive about the whole thing?
Why are they handpicking a few?
Why not just copy the British version?
And then Wall Street worries that a guy like Obama will win the elections!
A bit of transparency will go a long way to restoring confidence, otherwise they can give away the billions to whomever they like and the market will still nose dive again.

  • Did the FDIC Sabotage WaMu's Management and Erode Investor Confidence? [View article]
Has anyone compared WM to WB?
I believe WB was (is) in a worse position, so why wasn't WB taken out?

  • Hey, Congress, Guess What? WaMu's Toast [View article]
This was a way of teaching the Senate and the House a lesson for taking too long, in addition to yet again favoring JPM.
With this kind of selling present, I believe lots of other banks would have participated: giving away more than 5000 branches and terns of billions in deposits for a mere $1bn and change!
Anyone out there still believing in free market economy should have our head cut off.
I want to know how does one go about suing these people?

  • Has Jim Cramer Crossed the Line with Sirius XM? [View article]
What can you expect from someone who behaves like a second-hand car salesman?
Like all of us, he has his ups and downs, but is hardly reliable over the long term. Look at his favoritism toward solar and yet he suddenly changed to wind! Look at his obsession with natural gas and CHESAPEAKE ENERGY !
Like most investors, we listen to a lot of so called experts, but god forgive if we only base our judgment on one only; not even Warren Buffet's, but at least Buffet is strong enough to accept mistakes.
The problem, as with all cheap tabloids, is that you give people what they want, and with an average investor so fickle-minded , likes of Cramer are the only ones being heard (listened to) by the masses.
Once he fails over and again with his predictions, he will fade into oblivion. The best thing for SIRIUS XM is to ignore him and invest their energy and resources in their capacities. Otherwise, they shall frighten away the average investor and provide more room for Cramers and alike.

  • Hope for Crystallex Yet [View article]
    1. It seems that, so I am told, It took more than 4 (or is it 5 days) for this news to be published after it was supposedly known by the company!
    2. Has anyone seen/found anything (any articles?) to this effect in Venezuelan press? I would appreciate receiving a link. I believe such information is vital for a serious investor.
    3. It seems contrary to what Venezuelan government offcials have reportedly been saying about protecting their natural resources and environment especially in light of (if I am not mistaken) this being an open pit mining exploration!
