  • Apple (AAPL) is planning to release a $799 MacBook Air in Q3, claim Digitimes' sometimes-reliable sources - the cheapest Air currently goes for $999. MacBook Air sales have been taking off, though overall Mac sales have been hurt by iPad cannibalization. Digitimes adds Intel (INTC) is trying to bring prices for its MacBook Air-like ultrabooks down to $699. Plunging flash memory prices could make cheaper Airs and ultrabooks possible. • Buying Is Easy, It's Selling That Counts [View article]
I think I am going to start implementing your technique on selling the puts but it just worries me a little bit to think that if there a sudden huge drop in the market I will be obligated to purchase shares in a very negative (value wise) position. Do you do anything to protect yourself from that such as maybe buying a put at a strike price a little lower then the one you are selling for protection.

Sorry if my comment didn't make to much sense (rookie investor over here)

    Thanks aarc, good stuff!

@stoxfox I might implement this strategy. Any suggestions on which moving average to use for selling purposes (when price crosses below) 10, 50, 100, 200?

  • Why Intel Shares Might Be Headed Below $25 Again [View article]
    damn... i just bought a sh*tload of shares at $27.30 today :(

I think Intel is in a good spot though with windows 8 coming out soon and bringing the PC market a needed boost.

I have read a lot of good reviews about Intel's new IVY chip...

the charts show that Intel is oversold... i thought it might bounce back up within the next couple of days but I'm thinking I might just sell my share and wait OR i'll just sell some covered calls and hold on tight.

Good article though. Bring up some very good points. Thanks. Appreciate the insight.
