Sirius XM On the Rise - Does Microsoft Want a Piece?

Is there any way that the service could be connected to an airplane? I know that I would much rather listen to a live football game rather than wait until I hit the ground to see the score. Think of the market that has not been touched - there has to be a way......or am I just dreaming?

FCC Commissioner Adelstein Puts Forth Radio Merger Offer

The only questions I have are these: If all of the satellite receivers have to have AM/FM tuners as well as the HD radio shouldn't all of the AM/FM and HD tuners have satellite receivers? Who pays for all of this installations that Adelstein is demanding? Does he expect Siri and XM to pay for installations of a chip that would enable a completely different company to profit from??? I am an English teacher, not an Economics teacher but it just does not sound right...am I missing something here?

The 'Real' Story Behind the XM/Sirius Merger

I did not have to get a new receiver to listen to NASCAR - I have had the same receivers in my home, car, and office for more than 3 years. What am I missing? If everything that Hartleib says is correct then wouldn't I have to purchase a new receiver?

I am so confused by this information...it makes sense, but then again it does not - are only XM subs getting screwed in the deal?

As a teacher I must correct the misspelling of "dissapointed" - [disappointed]. However, I agree 100% with "Dissapointed American." This merger has taken too long. I see that BofA has already been approved to merge with Countrywide and that was only 5 months. WHY is it taking this long?

I watch as these two companies bleed and I can not understand how a commission is capable of allowing it to happen...they need to be replaced with competent individuals who will not use their positions as soapboxes.
