How great would it be to be listening to SATRAD on your ipod and everytime you hear something you like you push a button and it saves to a list for your itunes download? This stuff is coming, it's just a matter of when. My guess is everything we think would be great, someone who could profit already thought of it. Think what the world was like just two years ago to now. What will happen in the next two years. I'm excited.

I'm not happy about where the price is just in case an emergency comes up and I need to liquidate all of my positions. However, my price per share is now at about $2.40 and I own 7500 shares. It's not anywhere near where a lot of people are but being early in career it's a lot for me. Luckily for me I still diversified. I have had a plan all along in that I was going to hold until 2011. I did my own research and gave the company at the end of 2011 a $5/share value due to lower operating costs and unpenetrated markets. So for me I really don't care what the price does until then. If I think the company falls below that value I will sell, and if I perceive the value to be higher I will hold on longer. As for you, stop being ignorant. Statements like what's the difference between paper and realized make you look as such. Stop letting analysts tell you what to do and do some research yourself. Otherwise, buy cd's.

The stock is down, so what? If you needed the money short term you shouldn't have bought SIRI. I started accumulating at $4.20 and have ridden it all the way down to our low of $1.29. Again, so what? I will sell when I think the time is right and that is not now. The people getting mad at the analysts are those who choose not to do any research themselves. There is no need to swear and trash these boards when you yourself probably made a stupid decision to buy on margin. Tyler, keep writing what you write. This is a blog and I welcome any insight whether I agree or not.
Significant Value in Combined Siri/XM from Merger Synergies - Citi [View article]
There is too much emotion in this stock right now. Sadly the short term investors are screwing this stock up. People who are invested are blinded by the good of the companies and those who don't own the service bash it because they truly have no idea what SATRAD offers to it's listeners. Someone made a comment yesterday or the day before on one of these articles that was a great point. IPOD INTERNET SATRAD AND TERRESTRIAL RADIO are complimentary products. I love my own music collection so I flip on my IPOD but after 15 minutes I remember the Braves game is starting so I flip on SATRAD, between innings I want to check my local news so I flip on AM. The day a unit comes out that has all of those things is a day Apple, Sirius, and NAB become winners along with anyone who invests. These are all valuable products and services that can live together. My final comment to those who say "why would I pay for radio"... It's $10.88/month for a year for some great programming, why don't you cut back 2 coffees a month from starbucks and try SATRAD, then comment on quality.
FCC Commissioner Adelstein Puts Forth Radio Merger Offer [View article]
It still confounds me that simple economics... the first class I ever took in college is never brought up by anyone at the FCC. I guess that would imply they are well educated. THE MARKET WILL DETERMINE PRICE AFTER THE MERGER. IF THE PRICE IS TOO HIGH THEN CONSUMERS WON'T BUY AND SIRI WILL ADJUST PRICES DOWN TO OPTIMIZE REVENUE. I don't have cable because I don't think $50-100 a month for bad programming is worth it. I can live without TV and I can live without SATRAD if price goes beyond what I'm willing to pay. APPROVE NOW!

I started buying in @4.20 in 2006 and have been slowly increasing my position over 2 years. If everyone investing in these stocks is doing it for short term gains... you should rethink your investment strategies. Buy these stocks for 2011 not 2008.
