Thanks Investor88 for your comments, I might add Buffett bought GE so this will be a good investment for the future.

  • By the Numbers - Fast Money Recap (10/17/08) [View article]
    Joan Wickham,
We needed Buffett to speak out and wake up America. The big money listens to successful investors.
Who is Steve Cortes? I agree with his comments and recommendatins Steve Cortez and Buffett sound like true Americans.
Who would you rather listen to? Warren Buffett or Morgan Stanley and the other bankrupt financial institutions?
    Thanks Joan for your article.

  • Sheldon Adelson's Losing Streak [View article]
What we don't need is more negative comments. Is this the best you can do Felix Solman?. Is it any wonder that so many journalist are called nitwits. Those like you continue to prove it.

There is nothing here that is not commonly already known and you supply no new information.

Your conclusion is just an apparent "uneducated" guess. Adelson is having no trouble paying all the bills with casino revenue.

I like Carl Ichan. His attitude is make money or take over the company. We need more of this from the wealthy. Let's pay CEO's if they perform and not give them a blank check.

  • Cisco Valuation So 'Silly' It's Time to Buy - JMP [View article]
An analyst that writes a decent article. Yes Cisco is a good buy now. Most of the analyst today write articles to benefit their own portfolio.

  • The Case for a Bounce [View article]
I agree with CLH. I would also like to add that we need honest analyst. We have banks like J.P. Morgan lowering estimates and downgrading corporations and they don't disclose their holdings in that company or that sector. Does J.P. Morgan have a short position in the company they are downgrading? This is true of all the analyst whether it be Morgan Stanley or Bk. of America etc.
I don't trust analyst and neither should you. If you notice they all disagree with each other unless a company is booming or going bankrup, then they all agree.

  • Short Squeeze Triggers Sharp Volatility in Stocks [View article]
The latest report is that both Harvard and Yale endowment funds have both been shorting the market. I still maintain you buy good companies that are reasonably priced and expect to hold them till the market rebounds which might be sooner if there are good things coming out of the G-7 and G-20 meetings.

Good comment axelrod608, I couldn't agree more. We should pick our politicians the way the Pros pick their coaches and assistant coaches. They don't pick inexperenced coaches out of High School.

  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
If there is any good news, then it would have to be that Morgan Stanley took a hit yesterday. They have been downgrading everybody else for the last month. I don't know why anybody would listen to a company that can't manage their own business. Unfortuantly the Cramers and Morgan Stanley's do more damage than good. Example: The Market was going up yesterday until some jackass downgraded General Motorist credit rating and the market turned around and went down almost 800 points. Was that necessary? Everybody and their brother knew GM was in trouble.

  • Is the End of the Crisis Near? [View article]
This is a good article. The market is oversold and will come back. You should put a few dollars into the market each week and be prepared for the comeback. My opinoin is that it will be back after the election as the Democrats are blaming the Republicans for the downturn in the market. They may be the big sellers.

How will the economy ever come back if all these idoits do is bad mouth American Corporations. We need more positive thinking people giving advice instead of these clowns who do nothing except join the mob in downgrading and bad mouthing .
