  • A Quick Summary On Why You Should Buy Deckers  [View article]
Let me share my experience with GRPN. I bought some shares when it dropped from $7.50 to $6.50 on Aug 13, 2012. That was 6 months ago. But, I bought only 1,000 shares. Then it continued to drop down to $4.25 area. and I continued to add 1000 share every time it fell another %10 or so. Then it started going up, and I started selling each portion after making some profit of 10% or so. When it dropped about 10% again, I bought another 1000 shares and sold whenever I made 10% profit. As all of you might know, GRPN came down to $2.76 and started going up since then, and I started closing my shares in lots of 1000 shares with about 10% profit for each lot. My strategy worked well.

If I had opened a position with 10,000 shares at the beginning, I would be locked and would not be able to take the advantage of buying cheaper. I know this is no secret strategy for most of you. But, again as all of you know, emotions override the brain's strategy many times.

DECK is a similar stock. I bought it at $39 first, then it came down. I added more but with keeping some deposits for buying another lot in case it drops more, and it did. Then, it started going up, and I sold a lot, then sold another, and it continued to bounce, and I continued to buy and sell, and buy and sell. It worked very well far.

My whole point is when I act too greedy, I pay the cost of it. When I become calm and patient, I am rewarded after some time. Now, I am on NFLX. We'll see how it goes.

  • Netflix Content Key To Stock Moving To $300  [View article]
I think it may go upto $200 or a little above, but then it will drop down to $140 area. I do not see a reason to go to $300 in the near future. I am only not able to see who is buying and with what kind of reasons. Everybody here is saying NFLX is a short.
I think the speculators are pumping this to make sure they can pull everyone in it before they pull the trigger for explosion.

What are those likely tremendous upside potentials?
If your urban area is in a city that is loosing population because businesses are closing.
My point was that comparing the share price with the book value is not working in practice, most of the time. Otherwise, all stock would have a price within the -25% to +25% range of their book values.

  • A Quick Summary On Why You Should Buy Deckers  [View article]
    Can you answer this question?

If you had 2 options for buying the exact same house in 2 different locations, which one would you buy?

    1. The house on top of mountains where there is not many people, no jobs, no schools, no attractive lifestyle, etc. The price of such a house is $50K, that is just the cost of the materials.

    2. The house in a metropolitan area where the population is high, lots of jobs, great schools, lots of restaurants and attractions, etc. The price of such a house is $250K because of the high demand.

I have exaggerated a little to make the 2 options apart from each other, but this is how the house prices are set in the real market. I found the exact same house offered by one the nationwide home builders in 2 locations in the east cost states where one location is a small college town and a small business community that is limited with the university population, and where the other location is a metropolitan area with lots of opportunities and alternatives for anyone may need. The house prices were 220K and 440K for the exact same house, no exaggeration.

According to your article, I guess your answers would be the house for $50K described under option 1, no?

  • Crocs To Benefit From International Exposure, Improving Retail Picture And Stronger Consumer Balance Sheet  [View article]
the continent (Africa) has over 1 billion people in population...

well, how many of them have a budget to spend on a pair of shoes, forget CROCS?

You are talking about a population struggling with hunger !!!

If you want to talk about a target market of 1 million people, then your comment will sound more reasonable.

  • Merger With AMR May Send US Airways Shares Surging  [View article]
I am surprised to see that you compared the charts of major airlines only for the last 3 months. This merger story has started one year ago and the value of the LCC came from $4.50 to $14.50 now. At that time DAL was around $7.00. I believe LCC has been valued more than enough as a result of the merger, and I think that your analysis is not a successful one.

  • A Pop Then A Drop For The Great Netflix Stock  [View article]

  • Netflix: 6 Bucks For A Penny  [View article]
Article seems to be good, but will it have any effects? I do not think so.
If you had written an article before NFLX jumped from $100 to $175 in 2 days, would you be to support that move? I do not think so. So, Your predictions mean nothing in the real market.

If the people who believed that NFLX must trade around $160-$170, had the power to bring the price to that level, and they did not care about any of the listed reasons here, what is going to be the use of this article? In my opinion, NONE.

If the price goes to $250 in a week, will you be able to stop this? If you are saying NO, what is the use of this article? If you are saying YES, why did not do that when the stock moved to $170 in 2 days?

All of my point is, do no think you know something.

Do they make more and more money or not? Whoever has more power, that is more capital, he will win eventually win, no matter if they made a right call before or later. When they make more money, others with less money pay the cost of their profits. They become richer and richer, and others lose and lose.

Did you watch the 'Last Days of Lehman Brothers' movie? It is on youtube if you have not seen it. In that movie, the CEO says "I want to eat their hearts before they die" !!! True or not. But, it describes their feelings well enough.

  • 5 Reasons To Short Netflix Right Now  [View article]
Look at the history of NFLX price chart. It was $102 on Jul 10, 2010.
and went up to $295 in 12 months, on Jul 2, 2011.
and then from $295 down to $60 in 4 months only, until Nov 25, 2011.
Then it spent another 11 month with ups and downs, but it was able to go upto $120 then then down to $60s. etc.

And its latest momentum started again on Oct 1, 2012 going up and up and up, either inch by inch, or somedays foot by foot, with some little downs, but eventually covering with better ups.

When NFLX was at $295, it was alone in the market. Now, what is pushing it again to the same highs maybe the hopes of new opportunities in international sales. I believe it will not see a serious competition outside the US.

I am among the believers in shorting. However, be prepared to resist for 16 months, or hopefully shorter, in case if it may go up to $300 again. What are you going to do, if this stock holds between $150-$200 range for 3 months, or holds above $200 for 6 to 12 months? Think about every possibility.

  • Netflix: Don't Give In To The Hype And Buy  [View article]
I cannot understand why those billionaires are still trying to make more and more money. Remember Steve Jobs. He died with tons of money in his bank account. And how did that help him? He was not wearing anything that fancy. I assume he was not eating the most expensive food either. His cancer would destroy his appetite. Then where was he spending his money? for luxury cars, home, vacation, what? and how much were they dropping from his income and wealth? Probably 1% or less.

There are so many people that are living an average live with monthly cost of below $1,000 per person. Let's assume that those billionaires cannot live with less than $10,000 per month. That means $120,000 in a year per person. If somebody has $6 million, that is good enough for 50 years. If I just want to multiply monthly expenses of such a person 10 times, all they need is $60 million. But, who can spend $100K every month, if they live and spend without wasting and exaggerating?

Instead, give away to those in need and earn their sympathy, and leave the world as one of the most loved people.

Do not forget the market makers. Their trades doubles the volume.
They steal every dollar between the buyer and seller. Don't you know why you end up with selling at $165.01 and buying at $165.99, when you actually try to sell at $165 and buy at $166? 98 cents goes to Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and similar other guys.
