Abercrombie & Fitch Shares Have More Room To Run, Despite 30% Rally [View article]
I think involvement of GS into A&F should not be ignored. Everything is knowing how and when to spread the news. If ANF has more room to go up, I see a lot many other stocks in the same and similar segments with ANF that are more likely to return more profit to investors. Think about ARO and EXPR for example. If ANF can go 50% more upwards, these two will go 100%. Of course, this is a humble guess. But, I think ANF will come back to $36 area for a while. Remeber they want to buy their own shares, and they need to make the price cheaper for themselves, somehow, and they know how to do that.
All my point was to say that ANF and BKE have different customers. And you seem to agree with this as you could not say anything to support your own thesis. If BKE is run better than ANF, this does not make BKE competing against ANF.
I do not see those two stores competing with each other. I do not think an ANF customer will like to wear anything from BKE. But, I wish you can do this to support your theory. Can you find links for 2 products, one from ANF and another one from BKE to show me that BKE sells better merchandise? I am assuming you are not going to find an apple in one store, and a pear in the other, and tell me that pear is better than apple.

Euro went higher against Dollar yesterday and today is going higher again. As far as I know ANF's prices in Europe are fixed. They do not change their depending on the changes in currencies. So, if they were making 100 euro profit, that is going to be $131 with today's rate, where as it was $129 two days ago or much lower before. Do you not see this as an increase in the value of ANF. Their sales in Europe are not satisfactory. That's another parameter for the stock. I am talking only about the effects of QE on the currency and the effect of currency on ANF profits from Europe for the same amount of business.

If I am not misunderstanding, dollar will be kept low against euro, which will mean more dollars for sales made in Europe for US companies. Is this not right? If yes, A&F should be able to expect more profit for their sales in European stores.

Great article. I agree with it. However, my only concern is GS being involved. Remember FB's IPO. GS was part of it. What that means is they will find a way to take the stock higher. This is their job and they know how to do it. They will make billions, not millions and then they will let the individuals with empty hands. Anyone who will be trading ANF should be very very cautious, otherwise they will get burned.
