If these 6 games are the only content you listen to on Siri for the full year, you are clearly in the vast minority.

Excellent analysis and well written Stephen, thank you. Regarding the $5.00 share price. I don't plan on selling all my shares at $4.18, but considering the love hate relationship I have cultivated with this stock over the years, if I did sell all SIRI would go to $5.00 shortly.

  • Sirius Is Seriously Going Higher [View article]
    Stephen,
I agree. Siri has not been a laggard for me. I bought at $0.15 $0.22 $0.47 $0.63 $0.84 $1.27 $1.84 $2.23 $2.87 $3.40 and $3.74. If my last two buys were my total holdings I would agree, Siri is a laggard.

    Roxieanne-

If you buy an original work of art from an individual or a gallery and then resell it yourself for a huge profit you do not owe a royalty or commission to anyone. You would owe a commission to another party if they brokered the deal for you and you may have to pay tax to your Uncle Sam.

    Crunching Numbers-

You are correct, If the owner of my original lithograph loans or gifts the work to a museum and that museum puts it on display, I do not get paid extra. The owner of my original or limited series lithograph prints does not have the right to sell reprints unless agreed to thru negotiation. A book publisher is required to obtain my permission, but often they do not. In the visual arts just as in the recording arts it can get very complicated.
It's true these models are not directly compatible but one thing I can guarantee you is I will never receive a royalty on every visual experience someone has with my art work.

I knew the ''Greed Is Good'' comment was coming as soon as I mentioned greed, I can't argue that issue. I guess as an artist I just have a problem with the economics of it all. If I print an original lithograph (recording star live performance) I can get a large sum of money. When I print a limited series say 100-200 Prints of same lithograph (selective rebroadcast of live performance) I get MUCH less per print. If I have the lithograph mass printed (streaming digital and mass rebroadcast) each copy is worth very little. However in each of these three marketing endeavors I make progressively more and more income. I am just saying these writers and recording stars are just artists.
One thing I think we can all agree on is all streamers and rebroadcastsers should pay some royalty.
