  • Why I Trimmed My Position In Altria [View article]
    Editor The Lewis Letter
The author will complain "would've,should've, could've and if"
when Altria breaks out over 50. The 4.41% dividend yield is
a generous payout and the SAB Miller asset is undervalued
on the books while contributing close to a $billion in income.
Let us not forget the E-Cigs.

  • Here's Why I Am Seriously Considering Selling My Altria Stock To Buy Chevron [View article]
    Editor The Lewis Letter
Mistake. The yield is obviously lower due to the stock's
appreciation (MO). You are giving up at least 5 points
on a SABMiller deal which contributes almost $1B in
income, on the books for peanuts versus real asset
value. You pick the most slugish oil to buy, which
is my model portfolio along with MO. A better bet
if oil is your taste is Royal Dutch Shell with a 6+%
yield. But selling MO is giving away the store.

  • Dividend Stock Analysis: Is It Time To Buy ConocoPhillips? [View article]
    The Lewis Letter, Editor
It would appear you charts and utensils for determining your
price conviction are from another planet, certainly not COP.
The value alone of the PSX interest plus COP is over $126
per share, all starting at around $60. Its reserves and capex
will deliver the goods to sharehilders, despite your tilted view.

  • What Alaska's Oil Tax Cut Means For ConocoPhillips [View article]
    Editor, The Lewis Letter www/thelewisletter.com
This puts a whole new, positive extra gear on COP. This is an awesome recommendation and moves this gusher up into Chevron class. SELL XOM, BUY COP. With new finds and this tax event COP could double. Terrific article.

  • Altria Group Could Receive A Multi-Billion Dollar Payoff As SABMiller Plc Is In Play Once Again [View article]
    Editor - The Lewis Letter
Altria should be worth an additional 16 points if SAB deal us done.
It has been in my model portfolio for three years and is there to stay.

A fine appraisal of a great company. Very well written, analysis to perfection. MO is my model portfolio with Reynolds America, two dividend champions with capital appreciation potential.

  • California Senate leader wants to force Calpers to divest coal holdings [View news story]
    Editor The Lewis Letter
Coal will become the most important fuel in the future,
burning clean coal at a reasonable cost. What happened
to freedom of purchase where governments should fear
to tread? DeLeon is an idiot who is short sided to the
    future.

Agree from beginning to end. It is the bad and the ugly investors are
pouting about when they should be buyers. COP is best of breed!

  • Ford: 4 Reasons Why This Stock Is A Strong Sell [View article]
    Editor, The Lewis Letter
Could not agree with the above comments in disagreeing with this ill advised narrative. Investment Grade rating bodes well for credit structure. Alan Malally will leave hitting an ace at match point, having given shareholders a decent dividend, spiffier looking models than GM, and the number one car in the world for sales. Poor research.

  • Stay Clear Of Altria At Current Prices: Levered Returns Interactive Model Included [View article]
    The Lewis Letter
Never more wrong. Dividend rising to $2.06 a share, not understanding SAB Miller
value, on the books for $6B worth $27B, close to $1B income form it. Stock worth
    $56 if SAB Miller sold.

  • Peabody Energy Still Waiting For Better Days [View article]
Chuck Lewis Editor The Lewis Letter
Unfortunately BTU has been in my model portfolio
since March 2011. It use to match Joy Gobal price for
price. Joke over. The management, specifically CEO Bryce
must go. All of the chicken salad presentations have fallen
down the mine shaft. Bryce's words killed the canaries and
blew out the miner's lamps. As asset minded professional
as in Wilbur Ross could make Peabody alive and well.
Presently it is a sick sack of coal. News lows every day.

  • Shell Oil Stubs Its Big Toe [View article]
    Editor The Lewis Letter
Shell is back to the price level when the new CEO appointment was announced. Stock ran up for days following this event which I wrote as a vote of confidence in the incoming management when the current CEO retires in January. RDS.A is in my model portfolio and is NOT FOR SALE. Its dividend is a double over XOM. Along with Shell I list ConocoPhillips (top choice) and Chevron, the king of the gushers. RDS.A a leader in LNG with 40,000 global gas stations will be a truck stop for natural gasers, the future fuel for FedEx, Ryder, UPS and F-150 Fords for starters.
