Awful lot of replies. There must be something important here or there wouldn't have been such a reaction. I didn't like all of the article (I like green energy) but the proof that there is something to it is that we have already spiked once. My guess is that it will be worse next time.

It is fun to speculate but that is all this is. Even if this came true it still wouldn't change the peak oil profile by more than a few years. Transportation energy will change over the next few decades.

Solar Shorts Keep On Rising Even As Oil Surprises

Can't go along with your oil bubble hypothasis. Production is stagnate since 2005 and inventories keep shrinking. I expect solar to run up here based on 2nd quarter financials.
