    The main reason for this is because China has a high luxury tax on Jewelry. So as an expat in China I've heard many say why not take a "free" trip to HK/Overseas since the price of the expensive Jewelry difference vs shopping in China would cover the airfare/traveling cost.

  • Why eBay Needs Shipping Cap [View article]
    The real reason that ebay is doing this is because seller E will sell the media item for $1 and have shipping @ $99. This will cause eBay to make less money since they collect a commission on the sales price not the shipping cost.
