  • Manufacturing Collapse Reminiscent of Great Depression's Beginning [View article]
Jim Kramer says we cannot enter into a Great Depression because we have too many government stops in place that weren't there in the 1920s-30s. I emailed him and said he has no way of knowing that!!! What do you think?

So. Are we in a depression or not? I heard 10% unemployment signals a depression. Now, I hear the "talking heads" are boosting that figure and they say we are not in a depression until unemployment is much higher. So, what exactly constitutes a depression in the USA? Are we there yet?

  • Six Myths about the Big Three [View article]
Throw them to the wolves. Chapter 11 bankruptcy will force them to re-organize. They'd better wise up and start building cars that can drive past a repair station and not need a repair. Can you believe the Big 3 did not have a "business plan" when they appealed to congress for a bailout? "What? (they said) We need a plan?!!!" When I think of GM cars, Ford cars, Chrysler cars....I think 'rattle-trap'. They better get on the stick, or die. That's capitalism, and capitalism works.

  • Why Apple Stock Is Poised To Go Flat - At Best [View article]
Although I believe it is 'human' to discuss Mr. Job's health like it is a commodity, it is disturbingly inhumane. Unfortunately, I am not able to escape being human. For the sake of this discussion, I must interject that I understand that pancreatic cancer is always fatal. (Sorry Mollytgm, but sometimes reality hurts.) This being said, however, I am sure that Mr. Jobs and his board of directors have discussed his precarious situation at length and already are grooming a worthy replacement. Like Leonardo DaVinci, he can never be completely copied. However, I am sure there is a brilliant new talent out there to pick up the torch.

Sounds like a lot of emotion attempting to support euphoria. That's a little scary. Euphoria usually precedes a crash in the market.

  • Is the Commodities Bull Market Over? [View article]
I sent in a comment regarding my bullish feelings on natural gas commodity. Why isn't it printed here?

  • Is the Commodities Bull Market Over? [View article]
Chesapeake Appalachia just leased 200 of my acres to drill for gas in the Marcellus Shale in N.E. PA. This is supposed to be one of the most important finds for natural gas in the USA. Gas is a clean energy and it is a perfect link to give the good ole' USA time to get out of our oil dependence on the middle east and switched into outher clean energies (wind, water, sun). Also, we have enough natural gas under land that we do not need to do off-shore drilling and chance ruining the very basis and beginning of our food chain in the ocean. I think CHK would not spend billions to control acres covering Marcellus Shale if they thought it would not be profitable. No matter what President is elected, it will be good for the natural gas commodity. I think the lull in oil and gas and corn (ethanol) right now is to "paper cover the election" as one investor above stated. If you can be 'long' in a market like this, I would put my money on the natural gas commodity.

One thing you are also forgetting is the new Marcellus Shale play extending from W.Va to N.E. PA. I live in this area, and just leased 200 of my acres to CHK. Is the Marcellus Shale a secret? This play is going to be more huge than the Haynesville Shale play and CHK is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, player in this field. Invest in CHK, guys. You are coming in at the bottom of what appears to be the most important find in the U.S. CHK is right there in front. Aubrey, if you are reading this, congratulations! You definitely are the most amazing CEO of any company out there...you sly fellow!

  • Is Natural Gas Down for the Count? [View article]
Natural Gas is the fuel of the future. It is clean and green. Why do you think mastermind CEO, Aubrey McClendon, just bought 750,000 shares of CHK? He took advantage of CHK's offering of 25M shares at a bargain-basement price of $57.25 because he knows he will soon double his money. Natural Gas is drilled on-shore and will not pollute our oceans. It is the Democrats little angel, should they win the presidential election. It is the link between fossil type fuels and natural sun, wind and water power. Natural Gas is an excellent investment long term. It is a great investment short term, too. How long do you think our relations with Iran will remain stable. Use your minds. Invest in Natural Gas.
