Wal-Mart vs. eBay: Which is a Safer Stock to Own? [view article]
I recently heard EBay does not any longer customers to pay by check. This was a significant portion of there customers base's method of payment. Can some correct me if I am wrong. As I agree with part of the authors analysis I disagree with shorting Wal-Mart. The company customer base is growing along with revisions to their stores and product lines. Wal-Mart is no longer just the lower income earners store but a store for value whether you may or may not have discretionary spending money. Also, a competitor such as Target stores are not being well managed. The appearance such as shelves understocked, clothes racks half empty, clothes on the floor, workers not customer friendly is leaving shoppers with a bad experience. It makes no sense why Boeing (BA) is beaten down to the mid 60's. They have over $350 billion in back orders to last them well into 2010-11. Jul 01 09:38 AM
