How would Samsung pay for Sandisk? It does not have enough extra cash and it is unlikely Sandisk stockholders would settle for stocks in Samsung. In addition Intel is in the SSD market now making it even tougher for Sandisk to get out of it's precarious situation.

If Sandisk's gross margin is only 3.3% and the price of the NAND Flash products is gong down every quarter by 10% to 15% how on earth will Sandisk make any money? It is more likely that it would lose more if the demand for it's product from Apple or any other company goes higher. Because it looks like Sandisk is selling the NAND flash products at a loss. The more it sells to maintain it's market share the more it loses.
