Is Google Becoming a Content Company?

I am a longtime share holder in Google and am very happy with its performance. However this new development scares me. One of Google’s long term ideals was they are a content searcher not a content provider and this clearly deviates from that path. While I will wait to see where this goes, it does put my holdings on notice.

Also, the recent comment from one of the V.P. marketers from Google who stated they are not held to the “do no evil” approach turns me off to their future prospects. Microsoft always had the do whatever it takes policy and look at their stock prices for the last 8 years.
