    It's a tough road for gold to hoe in the face of a rising dollar. There is a seasonal/cyclical aspect to gold that cannot be ignored. Gold likely to go sideways for awhile.

    These mergers are just beginning. A lot of inefficiency still in this sector. I also think Investment Banks will start buying smaller less-leveraged banks to de-leverage balance sheet risk.

    What ever happened to free market capitalism? Why is the govt. jawboning and intervening. Don't we need some failures. A strong economy is formed by weeding out the weak links.
