Time to Call Out Wells Fargo's Balance Sheet [View article]
"Well, the author makes a reasonable assessment of the negative side of the balance sheet (even if a bit exaggerated in my view)"
A "bit exaggerated"? C'mon, man - this guy is expecting another Great Depression. He's been 100% wrong [i.e., short] all along w/r/t WFC [just look at his prior blog entries] and now he's desperately trying to convince people of doomsday scenarios to save his short position. Sorry, but it's not going to happen. WFC will be at $75 within 5 years.

mekats - the guy is like 19 years old - would you REALLY trust him for investment advice and predicting NG prices??? Let him gamble with options - this casino attitude isn't real investing.
Einhorn has botched this one - govt is not going to remove the "oligopoly" status anytime soon - and even if they do, Moody's will survive and continue to make good money. Let's be honest - is Egan Jones really going to replace Moody's and S&P? I think not. Go with Buffett here, not Einhorn (although Einhorn is usually on the mark).
Wells Fargo: Doing What It Takes to Succeed [View article]
"My experience has been egregiously high fees, no matter what you are doing and extremely average customer service. When I went to close my account with them, they said they would have to charge me a fee to close my account. Turns out my experience was not dissimilar from many others."
Do you really believe that JPM or Citi or BofA is any different?!!?! Get real, fool. You are clearly clueless.

Radiohead = great band, TERRIBLE analyzer of banks. Dude, you really don't get it, do you. TCE is a MEANINGLESS metric - for some insane reason the dopey regulators have bought into the TCE mania hook, line and sinker. WHO CARES what the TCE is???? What matters is Tier 1 capital and earnings power. And WFC has plenty of each. Their dividend cut will add $5B/year in capital. And with their capital raise they will have over 4% TCE by November, if that makes you sleep better at night. WFC is the LAST BANK the regulators should be worried about. Seriously, you have a lot to learn about commercial banking, bro.

Dude, YOU are the one that got hustled. I bought WFC under $14. Sorry for your lose. And, honestly, put up a professional headshot - you look like a complete buffoon (and I say that as a Nats fan).
Nice cut and paste job, Todd - too bad nothing - NOTHING - can save SHLD from ultimate BK - sorry bro. The only reason the stock is where it is is b/c Lampert and his hedge fund pals have corned the stock and there are no shares to short - this won't last forever.
"It is looking like Sears' decision to be first in launching its layaway program was a real winner with consumers and a coup for the company." PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS - LAYAWAY??????? - YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING.
"This is really good news folks...really good..." I CAN PRACTICALLY SMELL THE DESPERATION - TOO FUNNY. OK, IF YOU SAY, SO TODD (WINK WINK).
