"While post-merger financial information is scarce and thus difficult to evaluate, our biggest concern for SPLI investors is the very questionable past conduct by the company's president."

Basically you're saying, "ok, the financials look positive but aren't completely out yet so I am play down the financials and try to target the past of a CEO."

Let's remember here... it's the company and their product that is more important than the past of the CEO..... that is being target by an individual who has much to gain from its downfall.

    Thank you and Goodnight

We are getting a little off topic from this article. So Alan, would you not agree that the calculations from this article, used in determining the valuation from the sharp increase in price over the past weeks, are irrelevant due to using information from Sept. 2013 earnings reports?

This was in the previous Short NVLX article I mentioned earlier:

"Before we get into the fundamentals of the company, we felt it was important to educate investors about the severe risks of owning shares in promoted stocks like Nuvilex. We touched on this subject in a past report, and to no surprise, the stock fell by 97% since then."

If that is not simply trying to entice fear into investors to get them to sell, I don't know what is. It is illegal, and called stock manipulation.

Let's be clear, I am not saying that is what the author of this article is doing, he clearly discloses he has no position. I would just like to get my frustration across.

AGREED! You can see it with the NVLX trend as well. The turning point was an article posted by a short investor

Also, from your graph... Dismissing the outliers from the January 6-13 spike, this looks like a pretty solid uptrend to me

"The stock is trading at 135 times sales." I assume this ratio is from the the last earnings report which would from September 2013. Considering all of the sharp increase in price was from the last 3 months due to the emerging marijuana market, wouldn't these calculations of overvaluation be obsolete until up to date earnings are released reflecting possible sales from the marijuana market?

Although I do not agree with your stance on this stock despite your findings, I do appreciate (as well as others do, I'm sure) you not having a position in a stock you are writing about.
