This is welldone and the definition of momentum brought to life. Stocks like this are hard to find and hard to stay invested in, winners ride the wave and don't worry about slight dips or pullbacks. Jay
This is a tremendous article. The definition of momentum is brought to life in these examples. It's much bettter to be ahead of this curve than behind it, right?
Renewed Cost-Cutting Leads to Newspapers' Return to Profitability [View article]
Excellent 2q report for MNI. The cuts have been deep and painful, but this company now looks to be out of the woods for short term and intermediate term bankruptcy. Alarmingly low cash levels could still force this company to draw down the credit line even further.
How to Save Newspapers: Outlaw Linking [View article]
When and if newspapers go away, someone will have to pay a huge price to gather and distibute news. Why not allow newspapers to charge for what they pay to produce? Seems logical to me.
I think MSFT is really on to something with Bing. Where it sits on the new IE8 makes it as good or better than Google. The stock price of MSFT will reach a new all-time high as a result of this new search engine, in my opinion. Bing is that good.
well done, Jeff. Is anyone worried that there is information overload and we all may be writing for only ourselves and a few followers? Newspapers still deliver mass numbers in a relatively short time. Gannett is still tremendously undervalued.

Gannett Indicative of Media Sector Woes [View article]
Gannett is tremendously undervalued and should at least triple in the next 24 months. This is a screaming buy. I think Google will eventually end up owning this and other media companies, as the upside potential for Google will one day be limited to the amount of text ads on a search page. Small, local advertisers aren't seeing huge response to their Google programs due to an abundance of advertisers competing in the same space.

Google looks as though they have all the pieces in place for total worldwide domination in the advertising business. I predict that Google will end up owning McClatchy, Gannett and Tribune within the next two years. They need the newsgathering power of the reporters on the ground, and hiring these folks would be a lot easier if they bought out the entire operations.
