No One Saw This Economic Crisis Coming? [View article]
It is useful and interesting to do a post mortem on who saw the crisis coming, and what we should and should not have done. My question to those who saw it coming is "what do we do now? and "are actions by the government helping or delaying a recovery?". If the stimulus was a good idea, and has not really been implemented, why do we need a second stimulus already. Seems to me that there are more questions than answers and that does not instill confidence that we have the right leadership.

a.palmer jr. said: "We need Congressional oversight..but we also need someone to watch the Congress, which we don't have."
This should be the job of the News Media, but most of them have climbed into bed with the politicos and refuse to expose the fraud and corruption that goes on. Watchdog status has fallen to the internet community.
This President clearly doesn't care about the stock market, and views the 3000 point drop since the election as just a curiosity. His focus seems to be only on social programs that don't necessarily help investors (which include most of the country in some form).

Something strange going on with the thumbs up button to indicate "good comment". Every time I clicked on the thumbs up, the thumb down count went up by one along with the thumbs up count. Tried several and each time, the same thing happened. Glitch?
Is the Market Going Lower? Silly Question! [View article]
Someone told me over a year ago to get out of the market completely, and do it NOW. My advisors(?) said no. Major regrets now for not selling then, but almost all "experts" were saying it was ok, and markets go through cycles, it will come back. I just hope there is something left when it comes back. Big difference between being 30 and waiting vs being 65 plus and waiting for a recovery.

Whether you agree with Santelli or not, he struck a nerve. Reaction to his rant on CNBC shows that a lot of people don't like the plan being promoted by the new administration. We need more than "HOPE". CHANGE will come for better or worse.
