CEO steps down, quality control issues, and prduction problems. Other than that, things are great. LULU did beat and raise. Therefore, the selling after hours is an over reaction.
iOS 7 (AAPL +0.5%) is unveiled, and Jony Ive's fingerprints are all over it. The OS' fonts, icons, and even color palette have been overhauled to provider a cleaner, "flatter" look, and every built-in app has been redesigned. "We ran out of felt and wood," quips iOS/Mac OS chief Craig Federighi. New features include a Control Center for settings that slides up, 3D icons, an updated Safari browser, and multitasking support for all apps (Android has long supported this, but Apple has held off due to battery life concerns it says are addressed by various tricks). Also: iBooks and Apple Maps apps are coming to Mac OS, and Apple is launching a Google Docs alternative called iWork for iCloud. (previous) (live blog) (webcast) [View news story]

Bravo! Well done! KORS same store sales are phenomenal, and this is not just a one or two quarter phenomenon. KORS has plenty of room to grow outside of the USA. We will see if their management can execute properly to take advantage of the BRIC countries.
Expensive? KORS delivers 138% YOY eps growth and has a multiple of 31! CELG gives you 20% YOY growth with a multiple of 37! Check out LULU, LNKD, NFLX for expensive...
Michael Kors - Company Remains On Course For Long-Term Growth [View article]
There is no evidence growth will slow to 25% in 2014! They are opening 100 stores which is a 33% increase from last year. The conservative guidance gives investors an opportunity for investors to buy shares ahead of more blowout quarters. KORS grew EPS at 138% and have a multiple of 35, and you think they are fairly valued? I say KORS is cheap under $90!
The analysts need to do a better job of pinning these guys down on their sandbagging guidance. They just grew at a 130% clip, and they guide to 25% EPS growth? Why? What changed?
What about the new beauty line with Estee Lauder? What will that mean to top/bottom line? What about men's leather goods?
The strong sales results from Michael Kors (KORS +1.5%) has the retailer increasing its planned pace of store growth in Europe and the Far East even as its shop-in-a-shop concept expands into more department stores in other parts of the globe. Analysts think the ability of the company to draw in consumers from different income demographics is helping the company record the smashing comparable store sales growth numbers. [View news story]
The company is executing flawlessly. I do not understand the price action on this gem. The stock is a good buy right here as it is fairly inexpensive relative to its growth rate. They beat earnings every quarter like clockwork!
How The Better Place Bankruptcy Is Relevant To Tesla's Achilles' Heel: Lack Of Charging Infrastructure [View article]
The stock is a bit ahead of itself because there are so many shorts covering. As far as the business model; Tesla is in great shape to be the top EV producer in the USA. They make beautiful cars, and Elon Musk is an extremely energetic and creative CEO.
There will be plenty of charging stations (I live in Silicon Valley and they are everywhere). Most corporations have them installed in their workplace. Steve Jobs Apple building in Cupertino (the space ship) will have 2,000 charging stations and electric buses to commute employees.
The EV revolution is here to stay, and Tesla looks to be way out in front of everyone. I do not own the stock. However, I would not bet agaianst Elon Muck and Tesla.
5 Reasons To Buy Michael Kors Holdings Ahead Of Next Week's Earnings [View article]
Yes! I am holding for the longer term as the KORS growth story is being revealed every quarter. However, any firm can have a "bad" quarter, and that does not mean the growth story is done. If KORS only meets Wall Street's expectations of $.39 does that mean KORS growth story is done? I don't think so! The $.39 would mean 80% YOY growth, and that is pretty good for a stock with a multiple of 35.
I do expect KORS to beat handily this week, and raise guidance for fiscal 2014! I also expect KORS to earn at least $3 in 2014, and that is why I like KORS longer term.
Michael Kors: A Value-Growth Combo You Can't Ignore [View article]
Five replies to this article about KORS. If the author wrote about AAPL there would be 1,000 replies, and that tells me the flies are not hovering around KORS yet. Plenty of money to be made long here. Nobody wants to short this earnings behemoth.
Michael Kors: A Value-Growth Combo You Can't Ignore [View article]
KORS is a growth stock that is dirt cheap right here. COH is a value stock with single digit growth, and a decent dividend. KORS is growing at 100% YOY and trading with a multiple of 33, and that is where money can be made with KORS. Of course, the growth rate will slow eventually. However, going forward KORS is expanding its product line, and opening doors around the globe. I believe when ORS is given a fair multiple for its growth rate KORS will be trading well over $100.

I own many articles of their merchandise, and a good chunk of the stock. KORS is taking market share, and will be a solid growth company for some time.
