  • Coach Has Staying Power, Michael Kors Doesn't [View article]
"I believe there is a strong possibility that Michael Kors (NYSE:KORS) is nothing but a "flavor of the month" type fashion trend, and that Coach is the timeless, classic luxury brand with near universal appeal. That is to say, I believe Coach has staying power."

Michael Kors is trending in the right direction, and Coach is not. KORS had more revenue in North America than Coach last quarter. How is the "universal appeal" of Coach in Europe in comparison to Michael Kors?

There are only three major market for luxury brands, and KORS has already dominated Coach in two of them. Once they crush Coach in China, then it is checkmate for Coach.

  • Don't Misinterpret Heidi Klum: Buy Michael Kors [View article]
Great article. KORS is grossly misunderstood and under valued. They are an earnings machine. Plenty of room for growth in the future for this firm.
A multiple of 22 for a firm growing at 50%?

  • Michael Kors: Undervalued And Has 25% Upside [View article]
KORS is dead money until management puts a floor on margin decreases. The street is uncertain about how much their margins will contract in the coming quarters/years. I believe their business is strong, and management is being conservative with the projections. The analysts did not appreciate the angry tone of John Idol on the last conference call.

KORS has sold off the past two reports with earnings beats and raised guidance. What does it take to move this stock? They guided to $4-$4.05 for fiscal 2015! Their EPS grew at 49% YoY. Even with a conservative multiple of 25 the stock should be at par.

I feel badly for the longs as they have been duped by Wall Street as KORS is one of the most manipulated stocks on Wall Street. Perhaps they should have a dividend or a stock buyback program to support this equity?

There are many stocks being rewarded that lose money and have much thinner margins than KORS. The selloff does not make any sense. Maybe they will decide to go private if the street does not give them their just due? There seems to be a great deal of animosity between management and Wall Street.

How long has John Idol been in the fashion business? Doesn't he have experience?

  • Michael Kors: Shrinking Margins Equal A Shrinking Share Price [View article]
Earnings per share, and not margins per share is the metric I will use. Good luck!

  • Michael Kors: Shrinking Margins Equal A Shrinking Share Price [View article]
KORS announced $719 million of sales in North America, and Coach generated $691 million in sales this quarter. This is the first time that KORS has had more revenues than coach in North America. KORS is now king of handbag sales in North America. This trend is likely to continue.

Coach now must rely on China and hope sales increase there. I do not like their prospects.

Oh by the way... The metric for measuring a stock's value is EARNINGS PER SHARE! Coach is seeing its earning power decelerate, and is using cash to buy back stock to make their numbers. KORS earnings are increasing, and have $1 billion in cash, and are not buying back stock to make their numbers.

  • Michael Kors Stock Is A Tweener: No Longer A Momentum Stock, But Not Yet A Value Stock [View article]
KORS grew EPS at 65% in 2014. In Q1 2015 KORS delivered 49% EPS growth. I would call that a growth stock. A firm growing at 40% with a multiple of 25 is cheap.

  • Coach Is Still Bleeding Out...Just A Little Slower [View article]
KORS had greater sales in North America this quarter than Coach. Coach had NEGATIVE 17% same store sales in North America. KORS grew EPS at 49%! I would say that is healthy growth.

  • Increased Discounting Of Upscale Products Is A Prompt To Sell Michael Kors Now [View article]
The author tells people to sell because of discounting. I saw little evidence of discounting. The KORS earnings report is a grand slam on all counts. The author loses credibility by blindly following analysts. I hope you did not cost anyone too much money.
