Reverse split should not effect the stock at all, if they do split you have the same $ value only amount of shares change. It may have psycological effects on people as some don't like to buy stocks under $10. Plus it changes were you can and can't post your symbol. I.E. NASDAQ. I think Six Flags is on the New York Stock Exchange (or something like that). I think six flags is a great investment. I bought 17,120 shares when it was around a buck. Kinda sucks people still think its a bad buy, but I think its just a better deal now. I mean I have been to the parks and see the things that are going on. I Think Mark is onto something. Better marketing for stock holder and customer, win win. I agree the amount of leverage is rediculous, but its a great company rebounding in tough times. Did you catch that? Finally being positive on cash flow when others are having problems. This is were the "future cash is". This is when the good companies are looking bad, and Six Flags is starting to look good. Its either bust or though the roof. GO SHAPIRO!

Constantly bashing SIX because you can't diversify your articles? I want your job, all you have to do is write about all of your opinions. Seems though, you don't have many of them. I think your target audience has heard your rant, but if I were you I'd slow that chant because you will look real foolish if SIX takes foot. I think yes, SIX is a risk now, but if it can get over the hump (I think it will) it is going to take off fast. I know one things for sure investor sediment has more to do with stocks than the actual business. I think your negative image of SIX along with other bored writers has had a bigger impact on their fall as of lately than their finances. The debt margin has been their for a while now, that is why they had new management take over. It should have been considered in the previous shares price. Funny thing is the stock has fallen to a fifth of its price (in about a year), but profits have increased (to a positive number) in a poor customer climate. I would'nt bet the whole farm on SIX, but I think you would be stupid not to have some. (disclaimer- I own shares in SIX)

Im a season pass holder and a share holder. I love this park. There is plenty of money to be made in entrance, soda, food, candy, games, toys, gifts, advertising ect. I think the new management will strugle and ultimatley dominate peoples expectaions. I go there and cheer on the guy selling three crates of $4.00 drinks! The flash pass was a great way for customers to "have more fun" and for them to pay a "park premuim", they can't continue to lose money. They are cool, nice, clean, safe and fun. Were are all the thrill seekers going to go if they shut down a place like that? I think their gonna break their arms on skate boards or down hill mountain bikes or maybe a plane jump were the parchute doent work. If I die on a ride, screw it, Im dead. At least it was a pretty safe thrill. And as for the kid that got killed a while back, he was in a restricted area. Great America has some of the coolest, most axcessable and SAFE rides. I would'nt want a fly by day fair coming by and setting up those trinkets they call rides. I can see Disney and maybe some others (I've never been to) being nice too. But as far as Im concerned I beleive in Great America and I got 4100 shares to proove it. I only wish I could invest more, but a portfollio with to much of one thing is'nt a good idea. I think people will look back at this day and say this is when I should have got in on the action.

I think loosing SIX would be a slap in Americas face. I grew up taking trips there, and season passes were the best years of my life. I would consider keeping it open to keep it open. In my city (Milwaukee) the brewers took our tax money or they would leave (with there taxes too) so they could get a new stadium. They didnt need one, id rather they subsidized a prize like Great America. I was shocked to see their stock so low, as this is the first year in a while I got to go and wanst familar with any loss of business. It seemed busy when I was there. I decided to buy $500 right away at Scottrade with my liquid money and am going to roll over a small portion of my 401k into it. I see this as a big risk, but big potential. The new management may take time to turn it around, but the people love it. They are also being wise about how much and who they give deals to. The suviners are very lightly priced with season pass holder discounts. This way people advertise, in addition to sponsership, good ticket price (with an upgrade flash pass for enthuseist or impataince). Ultimatley if you want to spend alot, their is alot of money to spend, but if you want to go cheap it can be a very cost effective one day trip! You can buy season passes and get many one day mico vacations. I so beleive in Great America I am putting my money were my mouth is. I hope this works out, I am only willing to put so much money in a single stock, but it would be a financial and social loss for me to see anything bad happen to them. I truely hope everyone just buys some stock and season pass tickets. Have fun while making money! S.O.S Save our season! I think they have enough rides for a while, let em catch up on dept especially if in a few years when things (hopfully) get better (or everythings done) then they can spend new monies. I understand their maybe transitional costs into lower overhead activities. But, I have to beleive with all the people, advertising, food, suviners, candy, characatures, painted shirts (also for chacature), prize games, locker storage, pet hotel (If I remember correctley), foot massagers, DRINKS (for the 99% of people that refuse to drink free water), remote controll boats and trucks, dick clark productions and building in the Arab world (money), coming into their business during "lean times" , they will alway be at least ok, and probably a whole heck of alot better. Who goes to Disney? I've been once, yah its cool, but Great America is cheaper closer and I like it! Car pool and have fun. I'll see you there.
