The author of this article has it wrong with Marriott, they are a pure management company and do not own any real estate. Limited slivers on some properties but 99% of the properties are owned soley by developers or other owners. Marriott collects management fee's which could be tied to top line revenues limiting their potential, but do not risk disaster as an owner might otherwise

>It they'd make a music only package for $20/yr I'd activate the receiver in my car. I can't justify $120/yr for background music 45 minutes a day. The alternative is radio and hit the station change button every time a commercial comes <

Howard Stern is the anchor supporting Sirius? give me a break. That foul mouth pig. Sounds like many of you have very limited intelligence. Sat radio offers much more than crap like Howard that drives listeners to buy SIRI.
What Good Will the iPhone App Do for Sirius XM? [View article]
I for one have never listened to Howard Stern and in fact have blocked the filth of his channel and others like him. No doubt there are those followers that leaped to Siri as he did but Howard is by no means a ultimate catalyst to Siri's success. There's plenty of content otherwise to drive subscribers. Let's get out of the bad economy and then you'll see this company surge. People are loosing job's, they're not spending the weekly unemployment check on satelite radio!

Interesting to read these responses from some of you, however it sounds like a bunch of narrow minded novists lacking peripheral vision. Satelite radio is cutting edge entertainment in its infancy. I can remeber when cable came out decades ago and HBO appeared. No one gave it much hope. But now look at television. Baby boomers years ago had to adjust a set a rabbit ears to get a clear picture. Satelite radio is evolving much like it but at a much quicker pace due to technology / research and all those sorts. Whether it's called Sirius XM or something else years from now is yet to be seen but one thing is certain, it's not going away. Stop the phony silly bashing and acting like children (that maybe some are) and contribute reasonable facts for your discussion.

beach7: yep...so much for living responsibly, how can we expect anyone in america to respect that when our leaders in DC behave just the opposite. What a country!
Regarding the GSE's, your reporting of these agencies is less than honest at best. How someone can get a job writing garbage pieces covering any subject matter without having researched the subject continues to amaze me and many others.
