I would also agree with ED K about the "DON'T PANIC" advise. I think we have at least a year and probably more before we see any sort of turn around.
Currently I am hesvily invested in precious metals and I plan on using the next year or so to create a long term plan, exactly as recommended in this article, to move from those positions into clean energy and other areas. I am still in the early stages of the plan and do not yet know what other areas look promising. All I know it that I need to take a long term view of my investments and not be panicked into rash decisions.
The one thing in this article which struck me more than anything else was the recommendation to have the percentage of safe investments match your age. It seems like sound advice as I make my plans.
