Goldman Sachs Beaten, Buffett Down $2 Billion

How did you calculate he lost 2billion dollars. He bought 5 billion perpetual preferred with stock warrants.

On my trading screens goldman preferred shares have not dropped in value nearly as much as the stock.

What Does Warren Buffett See in General Electric?

Warren buffet didn't invest directly into the common stock. I think it would still be a decent investment if he get the 10% coupon indefinitely of the preferred stock.

I like the 4 year ge bonds around 7% and will hold to maturity. I am hoping Warren is right in that they won't go bankrupt in which his preferred stock is then worthless.
