    • Will iPhone 3G Cause RIM Customers to Churn to Apple? [view article]
Not surprising. I agree with the article.

However, it also goes the other way: iPhone customers who are looking at other devices, are often looking at BlackBerry as the first device when they find they want a tactile keyboard.

BlackBerry and iPhone customers are often a satisfied lot. However, dissatisfied BlackBerry customers are often looking at iPhone, and dissatisfied iPhone customers are often looking at BlackBerry.

We know many people here who switched from iPhone to BlackBerry, because they wanted a tactile keyboard as well as other features only BlackBerry offers.

Although iPod is still superior for browsing, RIM is coming out with both guns blazing. BlackBerry has a knockoff iPod-style music player available now (with albums flipping as you scroll trackball), and some web browsers for BlackBerry now has zooming capability, including Opera Mini and the OS 4.5 BlackBerry Browsers. Their upcoming touchscreen BlackBerry is a multi-touch screen (at first for Verizon and Bell Mobility no less; the networks that can't get the iPhone).
