AMD is different from AIG, AMD is an honest company that produces something that someone saw value in and invested in to keep them alive and make them more competitive. And to think so many people had written them off. Glad I quadrupled down at $2, I'll see them through to $20 by Christmas 2010!

Just because someone claims they have something its not always true, getting useful libraries with reliable things like basic resistors and capacitors and such can be difficult at the smaller sizes. And as customers grow they will not be the owners of the products being built so its not consolidated, but they will still have a share of the company, however diluted it gets and however big the company grows to. AMD does not have to do all of the advertising and finding the customers. They have the backing of a nation in a way to do that who probably has a lot of clout in some arenas of business.

AMD will post a profit this quarter, along with a good cash infusion from selling off non-core pieces of ATI and the stock price will go up, post profit for the 4th quarter and stock will go up, then they will get a large cash infusion from some foreign entity, like a big check from Arab Oil for Christmas, giving them another 7% stake in the company, to give them the down payment on their New York foundry.
