None of the market weenie statistics can be applied right now. the only comparison you can use is Black Friday, comparing it to March 2009.

Is it overbuying or just people taking their profits on a market correction?

AMD is different from AIG, AMD is an honest company that produces something that someone saw value in and invested in to keep them alive and make them more competitive. AMD has better fundamentals than they did a year and even two ago. AIG had to bailed out and is only a service provider.

Its funny to read the comments of people that short the market, people speculating bad poking fun of those speculating good.

P/E ratios is only one factor to look at. And how are they record highs???? You using a quarterly take on that, weekly? How much is a company worth, P/E is not the end all of value.
