TD Ameritrade And E*Trade: Wedding Bells? [View article]
To think customers would leave because of this merger is irrational. Etrade about went BK last year and at the same time loyal customers still stuck with Etrade so why would you think a lot of customers would leave in the event of a merger? Doesn't make sense.

Even if they were bought out why wouldn't you get the same elegant and integrated set-up you have now with E-trade? Ameritrade wouldn't buy a company like Etrade if they didn't like their current trading platform and set-up.

This company is here to stay and they have been through the worst and survived. I'm happy Etrade has stayed around this level so I can keep adding shares. Plan on adding some more this afternoon.

Will E*TRADE Surprise or Disappoint Wall Street? [View article]
The buyout offer will come after ETRADE releases its financials at the end of this month.
The buyout candidates are waiting for the numbers to put in a more reasonable offer and ETRADE won't take anything less than 3/share anyway.
If an offer does come in at 2.15-3.00 I would sell and take in the profit real quick since ETRADE will knock this offer down knowing they can and will get more.

GS goes through their "due diligence" before ever putting a "buy" on a stock. Even if it's for their own selfish reasons I would get in on this stock now. Remember, ETRADE isn't going anywhere. BK isn't gonna happen. The only reason I see for the pessinism is those that lost big over year ago when Etrade fell like a rock.

ManaboutDallas////////... ETFC accounts?????? Why would anyone ever need 35 accounts or are you just shooting off your manhole?
8/share seems a bargain for Ameritrade. ETFC will probably take 10 to 12 share because their balance sheet looks good. They don't need to be acquired anyway. Their a good enough standalone company as it is.
