Why GM Bankruptcy Does Not Spell Doom for Sirius [View article]
I agree that this BK might actually be good for Sirius. Weeks of waiting and wondering what was going to happen stalled sales. Now that the BK is done and that our Gov is backing GM people will start to flock for deals. I think GM will come out of all this a smaller but more potent company.
As long as SiriXM gets that 350m cost savings this year they are on track, even with lost subs.

buying these calls is a safe bet since, in either case, you could just buy the shares if the stock falls, sell the contracts if the stock goes up, or sell back the shares at a premium. Seems like a win win to me if you know anything about calls. They are December calls too so that's even less risky.
And buying the CALLS on the down gets you a better contract price with better chance of profit.

And Marco thanks for the suggestion on Siri. I might just buy some of those monday to mitigate loss if that occurs. Might even get at a better contract price if Siri is down Monday. We'll see.

CFA, maybe you're spending too much time and money at Micky Dee's or even Starbucks for that matter. It's hard to imagine that listening to SatRad while driving is contributing to our health problems. Maybe watching too much TV would be a better example. I hope you were joking and not that irrational.

Why Siri down today?
All the nice news and down. Stock will pop in near future and i'm just buying it up as it drops but still don't like to see drop for too long. Who ever is making stock go down please stop now. That's an order.

Yep, cars like the surburban and avalanche have destroyed GM. Just good for guzzleing gas and polluting the environment.
It's PAST TIME to make up use for alternative energy sources.
Stupid people want to drill more to bring the price of oil down. Please, keep the price of oil UP. Maybe then we will all see more totally electric or other alternative use.
I love seeing some fat chic at gas station, driving her sport utility, and whining about the price of gas. Or some dumb redneck cussing out loud how the environment doesn't matter and what's a few more oil fields.
Wow, how stupid of a country are we????

It's called, "survival of the fittest (strongest)" The ones that survive (ford;honda) will sell more cars after recession recovery and auto sales pick back up. You seem to think that this auto slump is permanent. It's only alleviating the weak companies.......

the last week Siri has been up in afterhours like .0065 or .0054. What the crap is that? Is that a way to frustrate investors? I would rather it just stay at whatever it closed than to play with such a minute upswing. ;
