S&P 500's PE Ratio of 139 Isn't Sustainable [View article]
the whole P/E is messed up.. It is a floating multiple you can't really argue with the market until it is proven wrong right? If going forward there's 70 EPS expected in 2010, that with a historical 15 multiple it is where we are trading today 1,050..

I found some info about the 70s recession. I'm wondering why people don't talk about it more. Dow lost about 50% and we had 14% inflation. I'll look at 80s too. www.distressedvolatili...

Exclusive Interview with Jim Rogers: Inflation Is Coming [View article]
Right now it all comes down to the velocity of money. The $$ is already printed and inside the vaults. The problem is it hasn't left the building which means there's no movement in $$ to bid up things yet. I'm watching institutions and private money to see when they start getting back into the financials and real estate. Flowers, Paulson already are involved in IndyMac, plus Wilbur Ross wants in the sector he thinks.. Also I'm watching housing inventories but the question is will anybody step in to buy the real estate now or will they wait until they go BK like the banks??? Housing or land value for that matter will be the catalyst for any type of growth turn. -DV I do mkt analysis at www.distressedvolatili.... Let me know what you think.
Australian Dollar Preparing to Break Out [View article]
Great timing on that pop (I was watching aud/jpy), it was ready to break that 50 day mov avg. Just keep watching economic data, commodities, and central bank moves. If fear/deflation comes back there will still be pressure on the aussie dollar but w/ global monetary stimuli hitting the scene it could be a great play on the reflation trade..check out blog
