While I am long DNDN and anticipate that it will be approved, the "seat at the table" announcement was a total nonevent - it is a professional courtesy extended to significant trials due to be reported after the closing date for conference submissions. Check out the history of Medicure's drug that received a similar offer last year at a conference and subsequently delivered not-approvable results. The conference program chairperson who extends the invitation has no more idea of the result than the man in the moon - they simply know that the results will be of considerable interest to the scientific / clinical community.

Now's not the time to debate economic philosophy re: GSEs. The system is in serious jeopardy and needs to be stabilized. The feds did the right - and obvious - thing. You seem a little "short" with the decision (pardon the pun). Is that the real source of your frustration with this move?

BTW, NO country including the US is EVEN CLOSE to be a free market. The government regulates prices some industries, has import quotas, STILL has huge farm subsidies, defends the value of institutions vital to public welfare, intervenes in Fx markets, etc.
