  • Solar Gets What They Want, But Stocks Still Suffer [View article]
CSIQ is definitely a strong buy here, they just confirm their 2009 outlook and UMG product is cheap enough and not anyone can compete with them in price even thin film. The material is 70 ton compare to silicon of 400 per ton.

  • Solarfun Power Should Again Provide Earnings Upside Surprise [View article]
Investors don't realize that SOLF is shipping more tham 250 MW products this year. They only guided 160 to 180mw, however if you look carefully, you will find out that they are out of capacity for this year which is 250mw on Q4 2007 report to mid 2008, and 360mw after the mid 2008 which makes it about 290mw to 300mw capacity this year. And SOLF announced two contracts and all of these 2 contracts starting to ship on the beginning of 2009. If you think about it, why don't they ship immediately and wait until 2009 for these 2 new contracts?

Only one answer is they are sold out for this year.

I expect to see $25 for this stock very soon.

If you look carefully at all the prospects. TSL is most valuable. However, SOL and SOLF is the second. CSIQ is with 1B market cap now.

  • Solar Grade: A Silicon Revolution [View article]
"then there is Metallurgical Grade [MG] used by the steel and metals industry as an alloying material. MG (98-99% pure) is made from relatively crude materials"

So far, I know only CSIQ producing Solar PV using UMG material which is much cheaper than the regular silicon.

I agree with Dicki, So far CSIQ and TSL are the best and lowest risk on the solar group.

I am long with TSL, CSIQ.
