thank you for bringing this to our attention. its another example of the outrageous behavior of politicians wearing blinders and ignoring the consequences of their actions. personal gain and re-election are all that motivates the politicians and they insult us when they carry on as if we dont know that. they may initially come into office with some ideals but that quickly disappears as soon as they walk into their new office. aaaaahhhhh .... dont get me started.

  • Bank of America Continues to Stand Strong [View article]
Preferred shareholders like pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and even big individual investors like former Citi Chairman Sanford Weill, do have a choice. Should investors choose not to convert their preferred shares to common stock, they are left to hope and pray that Citi will someday return to paying preferred dividends. (One type of preferred shares, so-called trust preferreds, will continue to pay dividends, and various classes of TruPs were trading between 20% and 66% higher in recent Friday trading, according to FactSet Research.)

go BAC ... let's all not forget, even though everyone else continues to forget, that well over 90% of mortgages are NOT IN DEFAULT, and its the current accounting rules that make the bank look bad. This damn mark to market rule needs to go ...
also ... anyone crying for nationalization fails to realize that this is America and they are quick to throw out the very capitalization that made this country great. Sure, we're having problems but aren't we all too quick to start saying that the system doesnt work. This is still the greatest country on earth and we can't forget or abandon what made us. We are still the envy of the rest of the world ... regardless of what the media makes it seem like.

Thank you. This is a very informative piece. However, it would be nice if you can devote some time talking about the flipside view, what are the negatives, potential problems, etc. so that a balanced view is portrayed. Thank you.
