  • Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News [View article]
You're dreaming. Franklin Raines, and every Democrat politician, not to mention every company CEO who has been supportive of the Obama Administration will escape prosecution. Look no further than GE who cooked their books, knowingly dispersed false and misleading info and they only got a $50 million fine from the SEC. They're a $150 billion company while Hank Greenberg was fined $15 million and is no longer a billionaire.

  • 62% of Online Adults Watch Web Video Sites [View article]
I'm interested in how the TV networks and advertisers will evolve. TV networks create content which are paid for through advertisers. Fewer households viewing commercials means advertisers must continue to spend a larger and larger percent of their budgets online. The TV networks will continue to spend less on content and run more cheap reality shows and TV talk shows. NBC moving Leno into the 10:00pm slot is a great example. The show will be profitable, even if ratings drop to higher quality competing entertainment. First, people started to migrate to computers from TV watching, then TV had to deal with TIVO and DVRs, and now people are spending more time watching videos and accessing commercial-free online movies and TV. No wonder TV networks don't care about media news bias, they're losing viewers anyway.

Why would anyone listen to a guy that would pay money to listen to a low-brow broadcast like Howard Stern?
