I like (own) GGN (AMSE) as a lower risk way to be in gold, silver, copper, etc. Fund also plays gas, agriculture, some other commodities. Gabelli Funds pros play the angles and make a monthly dividend payout (10% or so annually). I rarely see this option mentioned anywhere.

I've owned LMC since before the EZM buyout. I'm not a billionaire yet. I keep thinking someone will buy it, FCX, RTP, RIO for example, but those guys apparently are smarter than me. Go figure.

The ocean transport sector is the Wild Wild Wet. Good volatility for trading, few safe harbors for investing. Lots of tricky ownership and management puzzles, much of it foreign. Can keep you up at night. Nonetheless, I own several dry bulk carriers.
