What Is Microsoft Doing with Digital Photography?

Alinari Photo Archive, the oldest photo archive, located since 1852 in Florence, Italy, www.alinari.com preserving over 4.5M images from around the world is for example VERY interested to adopt Jpeg XR as compression format for our digital photo archive.

To continue the issue post below, we do believe that once Jpeg XR will become an integral part of Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, MS Vista and once the major vendors will adopt/support it (ie, camera manufactures and image applications like Adobe and Corel), than Jpeg XR will indeed become the compressor king! No questions about.

So for now it is important to talk about it, promote, adopt and disseminate it and its benefits among the professional and consumer industry!
