  • Three Metal Miners: Three Dynamic Business Models, Three Great Quarters  [View article]
Many say that silver is an industrial metal that will not be recognized as a currency as has obviously happened with gold recently. This is why gold coins were in Bond's attaché case. Right? Since I don't travel in those circles, but rather in the swirl of my hot tub, I have noticed that a bit of silver here and there is a very good thing. The Far East is making money on industrial goods not monetary ones. Leave the gold to the bankers..in the West..they need it bad. It is the fast money. I will hold the silver in case they want some at a much higher price.
    Thanks for the table pounding

  • Lehman Is Just the Thin Edge of the Wedge  [View article]
"At this point, most of the credibility earned by people in authority has been lost. Nobody knows what’s going to happen next."

Credibility IS the issue. The value of every paper asset depends solely on this.
Hank and Ben told us Fannie and Freddie are just fine. That turned out to be a lie.
Alan told us ARMs are a good thing. another lie
The SEC is supposed protect the paper markets against cheating. They destroyed credibility by implying that cheating (counterfieting stock) is OK for market makers and people who do not do this with certain paper.
A man in a cave successfully attacked 3 of the most secure buildings on the planet and is still at large and vocal 7 years later.
The common man knows a lie when not under hypnosis. (Read: watching TV)
Unfortunately for most of us, what happens next will be decided by the very liers and thieves who got us into this mess systematically and responsibly.

  • Is the SEC 'Rumorgate' Push a Waste of Time? [View article]
Thanks for bringing up the ineffective tactics of the toothless SEC. The foxes (huge banker/brokers) have been guarding the hen house for a long time. Now that they are out of hens and attacking each other, they want protected. The SEC is riding to the rescue. Save the banks !! What about all the companies naked shorted to death? A non taxable event. Unless all the fraud stops very soon...game over. No one will continue to play a game that has a certain outcome.
