  • Louis James on 'Best of the Best' Metal Miners [View article]
Anybody who claims to be an expert on mining stocks and then does not mention Jaguar Mining (JAG) as best of breed loses my faith in their credibility.

Jaguar Mining is on track to increase production 700 to 1000% by 2014. And they just found more gold! Below is yesterday's (11/19) 2009 drilling update taken from Jaguar Mining's corporate website. Very successful results. Here is the proof:

Great round up, Mole. Love the Merle!

US dollar decline vs. euro must be hurting exports over there. Glad I'm stocked up on the French wine.

Stephen: Take a look at Jaguar Mining (JAG). They expect to increase production by 700% by 2014. This is a junior going to mid-tier status. Their e-presentation is the best I've ever seen from any miner. Plus, it's in Brazil. JAG is my favorite, but Northern Dynasty, with their 82 billion pounds of copper, the largest copper strike ever in North America, and 52 million ounces of gold, makes (NAK) a long term play. NAK will begin scratching the earth next year.

  • Midway Gold's Resource Update a Boon for Major Miners  [View article]
Jaguar Mining (JAG) last week announced its gold production quarter to quarter rose by over 50%! This gold was simultanuously produced with lower out-of-ground costs. The result? Jaguar's stock went up that day, and that day only.

The conclusion here is that market sentiment overides positive results. Gold is going down in the short term, but the above stock mentioned in this article, and Jaguar Mining have a bright future if gold stays above $700/ounce.

As they say, buy on the dips...one is coming.

  • Gold Stocks Are Undervalued [View article]
Terrific article! And you never once mentioned coming inflation as another reason to buy gold stocks now and hold them for the long term.

  • Precious Metals Are Bullish on Pullback [View article]
The crazier the market gets...the more volatility...the more downside risk, the increasing fear, the crazier the upside bold predictions these Seeking Alpha authors get about gold.

I am a gold bug (but holding right now in buying more during the current dip). I own about seven mining stocks, and a few coins, but come on, $10,000 an ounce within three years? That's more than an 1000 percent increase in three years! In this economic environment? That's just ridiculous!

  • HUI: The Gold Industry's Elite [View article]
Thank you! This is by far the most informative article on gold miners I have read to date. I read all Seeking Alpha columns on gold everyday, as well as on other sites. I don't even know how many articles I've read (plus all corresponding posts) over the past six months.

I don't write the above compliment lightly. But again, this without a doubt the best.

I'm rather suprised that Jaguar Mining is not on your list. I also suspect, sometime down the line, that Northern Dynasties will be up for HUI consideration in a couple of years.

The next level of investigation is for me to better understand is hedging, as so little is written about it, and is not readily available on corporate websites. Further, there's been a lot of fund raising through offerings, and likely more to come that dilute shares.

What I would like to know to whomever is the author of this column is do your reports show the above, as well as cash burn, long term debt obligations?

Can't believe there are so few comments!

Thanks again for the fine article!

  • Why Gold Miners Aren't Glittering [View article]
If you were to read the latest transcripts for most miners, they pretty much all under"guess"timate what they will be able to sell an ounce of gold for during this quarter, and throughout the rest of this year. None that I have read have gold above $850 an ounce.

Further, their balance sheets reflect much higher energy costs than they will have to endure this year.

If gold, say for arguments sake, hangs around the $1000/ounce for the remainder of the year, just the cost savings in energy will make the balance sheets have the luster of, well...gold!

This article seems to occlude this very important point.

  • UBS: Bullish on Gold and Silver [View article]
Jimko: Bingo! The whole sector's up, way up! Many mining stocks since November 19th are up over 100 percent! I have some that are up way over 100%!

Where else can someone find that in this crazy market!

And I would not sell a share to "take profits."

Check out miningnerds.com if you already haven't. The site's clunky and in Canadian dollars, but what you can do with it to compare mining stocks is pretty cool.
