      Google vs. Viacom: Google's Strategy
Intellectual copyrights should be protected. Mashups are parasites on original creations - they’re bloodsuckers. It’s ironic that people feel that it’s okay to steal from original content creators, because those creators are almost always the poorest among us. But we’ve always raped our artists (that’s what they’re here for). Viacom is only a figurehead on this issue.

Why Does Social Media Fail to Generate Revenue?
Thanks for your thoughts - but I believe Eric Schmidt said just last week that making more money from YouTube would start happening within weeks. He also said that Google could always have made more money from YouTube, “If we wanted to shove advertising down viewers throats.” Your article addresses the big issue of the video future. YouTube certainly doesn’t want to copy what the pathetic broadcasting geniuses from Westchester did to television. Wall Street is filled with greedy freaks that continually kill the geese that lay the golden eggs. Schmidt and the propeller heads from the valley don’t want to make the same mistake.

AOL Seeing Strong Site Traffic Growth, <br>Top Ad Network Reach
Yes I’m not surprised – my perception is that AOL is quietly doing some new stuff (especially with wholesale video distribution) that’s gone largely unnoticed. They seem to have some video search and indexing tools, that are powerful and proprietary.

Why You'll Be Using NBC/News Corp's Hulu Long After YouTube Fades
But come on - there’s much more than cats and dogs on YouTube! And it’s often extraordinarily fresh and original stuff. Some of us are tired of that same old homogenized entertainment product manufactured by toupe wearing men from Westchester.
