Why Ford Will Make It

Another factor in Ford's favor is that they don't have as many similar brands, like GM..the exception is probably Mercury.. so Ford doesn't have to do as much reorganization as GM. Not sure what metric you would use to define the better transmission, but GM has been selling their transmissions to BMW for years.. maybe Ford should consider buying GM's transmission group..
