    Watch the USD (eg. quotes.ino.com/chart/?...). It is falling fast as the bailout/debt becomes a reality. As a result, investors are once again moving into commodities (oil, corn, gold, etc), and this is good for POT. That's in addition to it's outstanding fundamentals as a company.

    I think that we are over the hump, and will see a new high before 2009.

    I think that when times are tough, food is a relatively cheap way to feel better. With corn/soy prices still high, there's going to be a big crop next year (recently the cornbelt has been hit by flooding from Ike). These fert stocks will jump when Chinese contracts start to roll in this fall. Since China incorrectly tried to play the price-waiting game last year by under-ordering potash, they will be a key driver of higher contract bids.

    The only short-term concern is more commodity sell-offs to raise capital from failing American financial's (although that didn't happen today). Even oil is quickly approaching an arguably oversold position.

    No this is wrong. It is recycling exactly as it normally does with respect to the 50 day moving average. It should test new highs in about 2-3 weeks. The double kiss off the 50 dma will probably mean it will climb to a significantly higher high. I'm looking for 275 from POT.TO

    Potash stocks loss value last week in spite of improving prices/production/dema... due to oil price decline. It got lumped in worth rest of commodities. Consider this your last chance to get in on the next cycle about the 50 day moving average.

    Front page article on food shortage on times.com, and oil sready is helping to restore confidence in this play.
